Originally from the Netherlands, Inca has called Canada home since her twenties. During her childhood, visits to art museums were a common weekend trip for her and her father, who had helped her develop her appreciation for the arts. These museum trips have exposed her to the
Dutch Masters and distinct techniques from The Hague School, such as The Panorama by Mesdag.
Taking art classes at The Stedelijk Museum in Schiedam formed the basis of developing her own style, and she aims to show the world Ontarian beauty from her unique perspective.
Inca’s work has been sold and collected throughout North America, Europe and Asia, where her works have opened a portal for collectors looking to have a piece of unique Canadian art in their collection.
With the trunk of her car full of paints and gear, she can often be found roaming Ontario's backroads, always looking for that perfect composition and a great spot to paint en plein air.
She paints with oil, acrylics and watercolour but also enjoys sketching with coloured pencils and pastels. Inca also works from her home studio in beautiful Durham Region.
The works currently listed in the store are available for purchase with prices listed.
